Testimonials

"Teachers are time poor.  The suggestion of doing something new or different comes with resistance.  You have demonstrated how easy it is to integrate justice and values education into the curriculum."

Do you have time to explore the philosophical split between arts and science?

Finding it hard to explore the Bioethical questions behind what you teach due to NCEA time constraints? Teachers don’t have a complete understanding of Bioethics. Deborah offers an opportunity to collapse the school curriculum for a whole or half day to share information.

Relevance and value to studentsConstruct-A-Baby craft kit

The key value for student seminars is to stimulate enquiry and open up critical thinking. Bioethics explores things in everyday life, using real life situations that students can relate to, opening up a whole list of ideas of vocations that they have never thought of before. Students will leave with new ways of thinking logically and critically.

What types of seminar does Deborah deliver?

Seminars are aimed at secondary school students and can be adapted for any year group between yr9 to yr13. Deborah is happy working with small groups and large groups. However, the ideal number of students for a full day workshop is 60 to 100 students. A minimum fee is charged and seminars are priced per student.
